Independent building inspector

A lot of private individuals are not aware that the building regulations application doesn’t need to be dealt with by the local authority. Until relatively recently, local authorities had to deal with both planning applications and building regulations applications, however the Government has introduced a system allowing independent building inspectors to deal with building regulations applications.
