Warmington, Oak Frame Garage

This modern traditional oak frame garage is in Stratford-upon-Avon District Council.

The proposed garage was designed as a traditional oak frame and constructed using traditional methods, but built into an awkward location adjacent to an existing neighbour’s property.

We had worked for this client previously, having created a large two-storey extension to the rear of their existing house. We were tasked by the same client to create a new garage.

There was a small range of outbuildings constructed against the neighbouring boundary wall, this being part of the neighbour’s stone barn/outbuilding. The clients’ brief was to create a new garage and integrating storage/outbuildings.

We created a design using a traditional oak frame using the general design approach, and successfully gained planning approval within Stratford District Council for the proposed oak framed garage.

The garage was constructed using traditional oak framing sitting on top of a natural stone wall and provided a comfortably garage along with general storage.
