Bledington, Orangery Extension
This Orangery extension was undertaken near the village of Bledington within Cotswold District Council.
We had previously gained planning approval for a replacement dwelling and the new owners of the dwelling approached us to obtain planning approval to create an orangery extension to the existing kitchen, forming a usable all year round garden room.
Residential extensions within Cotswold District Council are generally permissible with careful design consideration. The clients’ brief was very clear, they had a good indication of the style of building they wanted to achieve, we carefully prepared proposed designs for the new orangery in Bledington and were successful with gaining planning approval.
The proposed extension was designed to be built as a steel frame structure, which was encased in timber. We specified the use of “Tricoya” for this project, this being an extremely durable modified timber which is almost 100% resistant to moisture ingress; meaning this building will last the test of time.
